On July 21st, Linens N Love visited Pathways of Hope! "Pathways of Hope, formerly known as Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service, Inc. (FIES), is a non-profit organization. For over 40 years Pathways of Hope has been providing food, transitional living and support and prevention services to the hungry, homeless and marginalized through assistance of local congregations, volunteers, businesses and grants from foundations and government agencies."
"We were able to serve an organization that offers housing and aid to the disenfranchised" wrote Grace Yoo. "I tried to make the interaction between our two organizations as unobtrusive and comfortable for the recipient party as possible, specifically regarding the needs of the residents Pathways of Hope serves."
Grace believes in helping the community directly and inspires her peers by volunteering with her local church. Her family is an amazing family that volunteers together on a weekly basis!
"[We] display sensitivity toward and respect the privacy of those accepting the services Pathways of Hope offers. In order to fulfill this goal, efforts were made to come quietly, staying only within the delivery zone, and making the delivery quick and efficient."
"The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, both in person and via e-mail" wrote Grace. It's organizations like Pathways of Hope that reminds us why we do what we do.
Seeing directly the impact that students make on their community means the world to us. We can't wait to hear about your next adventure!
A big thank you to the Pathways of Hope, Grace, and her supportive family who always make the time and effort to give back to the community!
