An award-winning, student-led 501(c)3 nonprofit organization repurposing linens to charities since 2014.
On June 29th, 2017, Linens N Love donated 480 sheets and towels to Pardon Me, Inc., a dog and cat rescue and nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals from high kill shelters to find them forever (furever!) homes.
Pardon Me Inc relies on passionate volunteers to keep the movement going! Dogs and cats are fostered with with their foster parents and enjoy the TLC and love they deserve before the nonprofit finds them a new home. The organization gathers at Petco of Anaheim Hills weekly on Sundays and Saturdays from 12 PM to 4 PM for regular adoption events to encourage people to "adopt, don't shop."
For around $350, you can bring home a furever friend. All animals are micro-chipped, vaccinated, and socialized under PMI's care. In comparison, breeders charge thousands of dollars for a new pet and these animals are oftentimes irresponsibly kept and bred.
According to Karen, the director of the nonprofit, the dogs and cats will use these these sheets and towels to burrow into. In a high-stress environment like the adoption centers, many animals just need something to rest on and hide under. Thank you to Joey, our Linens N Love volunteer, and Pardon Me Inc. representatives Eileen and Karen for talking to us about the organization!
