1. How does the program work?
2. How can I volunteer?
You can fill out an application at the Volunteer page. Volunteers (Area Coordinators and Area Directors) are expected to have a reliable form of transportation and at least one volunteer per team is expected to have a car that can hold multiple boxes (ex: SUV, truck, etc.). Area Directors are expected to coordinate the teams meeting place and make sure the process runs smoothly.
Area Coordinators (expect up to 10 hours a month):
Area Directors (expect up to 20 hours a month):
3. What is the difference between an Area Director and an Area Coordinator?
Area Coordinators are responsible for picking up linens from hotels on Love Runs and helping deliver them to the charities that need them, along with other help as needed.
Area Directors are responsible for setting a route that is efficient, making sure that all Area Coordinators report to them. Area Directors are also expected to take on the same responsibilities as Area Coordinators.
4. What days (and times) do I volunteer?
Volunteer pick up and delivery dates vary, but we expect them to be on weekends when everyone is available. Area Directors are expected to find dates and times that suit the Area Coordinators to assist with deliveries and pick ups.
